Matt Pickart, Violin & Vocals at GL Opera House

A Night of Jazz Violin

Matt Pickart, former violinist and vocalist of the Hot Club of Pittsburgh, will lead a band in tunes from the likes of Reinhardt, Ellington, Davis, and others. Pickart is quite accomplished:
  • performed throughout Germany with the Premiere Swingtett and Swingadje Ensemble
  • featured performer at Jazzstadt Stuttgart
  • premiered his own arrangements as jazz violin soloist with Mason Symphony Orchestra and the Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra
  • gave his Italian debut at the Grosseto Cassero
  • founded the Clazz International Music Festival in Arcidosso, Italy, as an opportunity for talented classically trained musicians to learn how to improvise and play jazz.

The Grand Ledge Opera House is a barrier-free facility.  Proceeds will benefit Grand Ledge Opera House Capital Improvements, a non-profit 501(c) 3.
