Mudge's Follies takes the stage on Thursday and Friday

Yankee Doodle Days' new venue was beautiful and spacious!

The Grand Ledge Chamber of Commerce was excited to present the 34th Annual Yankee Doodle Days last weekend.  This family-friendly community event took place at its new location at Jaycee Park, 525 E. River Street, which was a beautiful venue with lots of room for us to spread out.

All of the proceeds from this event and all Chamber events are allocated to promoting the Grand Ledge community and its members.

SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR VERY GENEROUS SPONSORS!

Since the Yankee Doodle Days Fireworks Extravaganza was rained out, the Chamber is considering future dates to bring a fireworks show to Grand Ledge.

Mudge's Follies is June 22 and 23

It‘s a “Tribute to Music Legends!“ when “Mudge’s Follies” performs its 37th annual variety show on Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23 at 7:00 PM at the Grand Ledge High School Auditorium.

“Mudge’s Follies” is a troupe of all-volunteer local musicians, singers, and dancers of all ages - 4 years old and up - in celebration of the upcoming Fourth of July holiday and our freedom.

In partnership with the Grand Ledge Public Schools, all proceeds from the show will go to the Grand Ledge Emergency Assistance Program (GLEAP). This worthy organization provides counseling and aid for anyone in the Grand Ledge School District who needs help with medications, housing, transportation, and more. As of last year, the Follies has raised $29,400, all of which is used for their mission. At this time each year their funds have dwindled, so our donation is timely for their work.

Tickets are available at ACE Hardware and MacDowell’s Hearth & Flowers. Admission: adults - $8 pre-sale or $10 at the door; all kids 12 and under - $5 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Groups are welcome.

If you have any questions, please call Libby Brandon at (517) 627-2715. The Grand Ledge High School Auditorium is an air-conditioned, barrier-free facility with convenient parking.
