Community Showcase on Grand Ledge Robotics Club
This community-led program serves school-aged children throughout the Grand Ledge School District. Their mission is to strengthen STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education and encourages fair play and sportsmanship.
Their values include respect; ownership; being kind and encouraging; organization; teamwork; and staying positive and having fun.
They meet twice a week and compete in tournaments in December and January. Enrollment for next year's program will be distributed through the schools in the Fall.
Through their fundraising efforts they hope to make participation in their club accessible to all children in the Grand Ledge community, regardless of their family's ability to pay. But, they need your help to make that goal possible.
You can show your support by joining them for a Family Night at the Movies Fundraiser on Saturday, January 14 at 12:00 PM at the Grand Ledge Sun Theater. They will be showing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (PG-13)! Bring the whole family out for a fun afternoon to support their club and the local theater.
Tickets are $2.00 each and MUST be purchased in advance, so please contact Michelle Hartman at michellehartman12@gmail.com or 517-908-5333. You may get tickets on the day of the event as well; however, it is first come, first serve.
