Broadbent/Saginaw Construction Set to Begin after July 4

The widening of the intersection at Broadbent Road and Saginaw Highway are scheduled to begin after the July 4 holiday. Broadbent will have intermittent closures over a four week period to accommodate the project. During this time, residents are asked to seek alternate routes.

This project is the result of a traffic study conducted by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) which concluded the need for a traffic signal to assist with growing safety concerns in the area. The completed project will include the new traffic signal and turn lanes on both the north and south sides of Broadbent.

Music in the Park Continues at Jaycee Park

New Location:  Jaycee Park, 525 E. River Street
Thursday Nights through August 31 | 7:00 PM

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to a scheduling conflict, Taylor Taylor will NOT be performing this week.  Kathleen and the Bridge Street Band and Rachel Curtis will take the stage on June 29. Bring your friends and a lawn chair or blanket. There will be food concessions available onsite. 

There are several parking spots along River Street as well as city parking lots located downtown. Handicap parking will be available in the parking lot by the pavilion.
